I noticed that my old laptops battery didn’t hold it’s charge anymore. It would have to be plugged in the entire time otherwise it would shut off and die right away.battery for hp omnibook 2100-f1580w
With my new laptop, I want to make sure that its battery will hold it’s charge and last longer than my older one. What steps should I take or what should I do to make sure it will last?

I hear, when you get a NEW laptop, or anything with a rechargeable battery, you should charge it over night. Straight out of the box, a nice long charge, and don’t take it out even if it says full.
I hear also if your in the house, try not to keep letting the battery die then charge it, keep the laptop plugged in. Interestingly i hear leaving it plugged in too much is also not good so i have been using a happy medium.Replacement for HP OmniBook 3100-F1582W Laptop Battery
